Create a Tribute Fund

Setting up a Closer to the Cure tribute fund online is a fitting way to remember and celebrate the life of someone special.

How your fund helps

Your Closer to a Cure tribute fund will support our life-changing work dedicated to stopping the devastating impact that arthritis has on people's lives.

More than 1 in 6 people of all ages struggle with the pain and disability of arthritis every day. Our work takes the pain away from people with arthritis, enabling them to remain active, doing the things they love.

Put simply, your tribute fund will help bring us closer to a future free from the pain and disability of arthritis.

About Versus Arthritis

If your loved-one was affected by arthritis, a Closer to a Cure tribute fund is a fitting way to celebrate their life and fund vital research to help end arthritis forever.

With a Closer to a Cure tribute fund, you can express your feelings and celebrate your loved one’s life in ways that are right for you – using words, pictures, music and even film.

It will be there whenever you need the comfort of reading the messages friends and family can leave, or want to add a new memory, message or picture of your own.

You can make gifts into your Closer to a Cure tribute fund whenever it feels right, perhaps to mark a significant event or anniversary. And friends and family can make gifts in memory too, or perhaps take part in a sponsored event in tribute.

Better still, every pound you raise will fund life changing research across the UK to stop arthritis from stealing the quality of people’s lives forever.

What we do

Arthritis Research UK is the charity leading the fight against arthritis. Everything that we do is focused on taking the pain away and keeping people active. Our remit covers all conditions which affect the joints, bones and muscles, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, back pain and osteoporosis.

We fund research into the cause, treatment and cure of arthritis and we provide information on how to maintain healthy joints and bones, and how to live well with arthritis. We also champion the cause, influence policy change and work in partnership with others to achieve our aims.

We depend on public support and the generosity of our donors to keep doing this vital work.
